TRUE. Fred just isn't into brass. Too decorative... like something you hang over the mantle... Brass is authentic, but it's your choice.Are you saying case hardened steel isn't authentic? Get out your history books because you must've bumped your head.

No, I am saying that brass is just as authentic as steel is, depending on the model of gun in question. Well, duh. Well, there are myths about brass in guns out there, particularly when it comes to Civil War revolvers. The "story" is that the South made a lot of copies of Colts and Remingtons with brass frames due to a lack of iron and steel. Very few CSA revolvers had brass frames in reality.
Basically I was just saying that rifles of a certain era with brass receivers are authentic copies, whereas revolvers aren't.
