It's timed shooting mostly, Mutt. I know you don't really compete but look into IDPA or three gun comps. You'll need to expend a lot of ammo though.

I prefer reactive targets like cans and plastic bottles at odd ranges. You hit 'em and they jump to even odder ranges. You can't use a 25 yard hold when the target might be 23 feet in front of you or 47 yards away.
I don't run around with a handgun and a rifle and shotgun strapped on my back either. A real combat situation for me will likely find me away from home armed with only a Glock 30S. That one gun will either save me or kill me.

Thanks for saving me the trouble of dragging out a bunch of guns and having to explain to my wife why I want a picture of me with all of them. I was wondering how I'd get them all in one picture. |
