I thought the Clash was Trash. No racing and not fun to watch. The first of the Twin 125s was good racing but the second one was way too boring. Might go fishing tomorrow. Bass are biting in the grassy areas and the crappie are biting. Might get enough for a good neighborhood fish fry.

Was pulling for Chase Elliot but glad to see Kurt Busch win his first Daytona 500___just didnt like the 'straight line' racing at the end but thats what Nascar is now

Didn't wach the race. Glad Kurt (the nicer) Bush won. NASCAR did him wrong a couple of years ago when they suspended him because his loony ex-gf accused him of abuse falsely.

Not sure if I like the 3 segment race and definitely don't like the 5 min repair rule
I always liked Bill Elliot so it's hard NOT to pull for Chase.

When our company was in Atlanta we dealt with a precision machinist that had a shop about 5 miles from Bill Elliotts shop in Dawsonville, Ga. He did some work for Bill and took me down to meet him one day. During our conversation I mentioned that we designed precision parts for NASA using some exotic materials. We eventually designed some parts for his suspension system that had more flex and reduced tire bounce, thus giving him more grip, and therefore more speed coming out of the corners. Worked great for him until NASCAR found out and banned the materials and us from the sport. But Bill still had that great 1985 season (with our help) - 11 wins and 11 poles.
