always enjoy the big ten tournament. the only time of the year where i have a glimmer of hope until some 5'10 white guy from a state that primarily exports corn shoots 78% from the three and crushes my hopes. i attached my picks. after extremely careful and thoughtful analysis, i am fairly confident this is how the tournament will play out. sparty has won 3 of the last 5 big 10 moneymakers. they're out in their first game. osu, who's won it 4 times since '07, goes out in its 1st game. this year's top seed, purdue, goes out in its 1st game thanks to a michigan team that survived a scare at the airport wednesday. uw is the only program who's won this tourney, except for michigan who won the initial event in '98, that's still left standing. and if indiana keeps shooting like they have the last 2 games, the badgers may be in trouble. n'western, who's never been in the ncaa tourney, ever, who (i believe) has never been as far as the league semi-finals, ever, takes on maryland with a chance to clinch both.
signs of a changing of the guard in the league, perhaps??? young coaches like collins and pitino rising, while conference standards like matta and izzo have subpar seasons.

Well, Crean is 2-15 V Wisky while at Indy so odds should be in his favor. Indy has no answer to Happ. But you never know.

Damn, Wisky thumped NW pretty good today. On to Blue. And maybe the dreaded 5 seed.

Impressive win, tho nwestern having to play 16 hrs after beating Maryland is just one example of why I'm no fan of the moneymaker. That said, us seems to have right ed the ship that was treading water in late February.
