and if you go on baylor message boards, i'm sure there are delusional fans who believe they did no wrong. just the nature of fandom. your defensive coordinator knew of allegations against sandusky and chose to do nothing. ohio state fans dontseem to care. al lord was obviously frustrated by spanier's guilty verdict b/c as i said, they are very close. he said something he may personally believe but will likely realize in a lil bit of time that he should not have stated publicly. This has bugged me for a while, and isn't the first time you've projected your speculation & innuendo in that direction...and while it MIGHT be possible, we are talking a VERY narrow window here... According to the investigations, Sandusky began terrorizing little boys around 1994. (Sandusky was arrested and charged with 52 counts of sexual abuse of young boys over a 15-year period from 1994 to 2009.) Greg Schiano was at Ped State from 1990 as a GA thru 1995 as a DB coach. The infamous incident witnessed by Mike McQueery wasn't until 2002. But in YOUR mind, JoePa knew nothing in spite of their time together, while Schiano is guilty with that short time span... And you wonder why most people here think you're a PedState idiot and unworthy of meaningful discourse.... it' not speculation or inneundo...it's unsealed court documents....http://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/testimony-greg-schiano-tom-bradley-knew-about-sandusky-abuse/ this is all based on mcqueary's tesitmony fwiw.... do you think mcqueary was lying? i don' know or care if people view me as a "ped state" idiot. fwiw, the only people i have seen refer to penn state as "ped state" besides you are freshman students from rutgers. so congrats on your clever insult as it is only humorous to drunk 18 year olds.

I'm not sure how you're making the the McQueary-Schiano connection, other than Schiano coaching there from 90-95 & McQueary McQueary being a quarterback for Penn State from 1994 through 1997. McQuery's testimony was for the 2002 incident. I've never cared enough about ALL the particulars to read all that 'crap' about Sandusky. He's scum, & if he dies tomorrow, not many people will grieve. But SOMEHOW, in your mind...Paterno is innocent & pure as the driven snow... proving, once again, you're one of "THEM."

"According to McQueary, Schiano told Bradley that he had seen Sandusky "doing something with a boy in the shower." McQueary recalls that this conversation with Bradley happened around 2005 or 2006. Schiano was an assistant at Penn State from 1990 to 1995 and later became the head coach of Rutgers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Bradley was at Penn State from 1979 to 2011, becoming interim head coach after Joe Paterno stepped down."

I don't but I also believe decisions have consequences and you don't. We disagree. I believe those decisions were made to protect the brand which incl the moneymaker FB program. It turned out to be a poor decision. Consequences.
Let's take reach number for a fine. A billion dollars as a crazy number. No NCAA but the U has to come up w a billion. The school still gets run through the muck. Really bad. Media has a field day trashing PSU, for years. Paterno still gets trashed; the leadership still gets trashed. Alum still get the queer eye. Each citizen of Pa has to pony up on average $84 as a tax add on to cover the fine, but the FB program skates away.
You are now OK?

You are now OK? i know we disagree. but the fact is that communities all across the country have failed in protecting children from predators. and now all communities have the same cash cows to protect like state college does. ie in east lansing, it looks like this perv doctor was sexually assaulting students for years and years while people in position to stop him looked the other way. was this to protect the gymnastics program that generated no money? or was it b/c they just couldn' reconcile in their heads that this well revered guy could do something so horrible? what you are asking is not quite clear to me.... money spent by psu settling with victims or paying the ncaa or paying in legal fees isn't the issue most psu people have.

what you are asking is not quite clear to me.... money spent by psu settling with victims or paying the ncaa or paying in legal fees isn't the issue most psu people have. So if the fine, at the extreme, was a BILLION dollars, a number that surely the school doesn't have laying around in a petty cash box (PSU isn't in that Conference Down South, the CDS league, where the petty cash box can be large. ), the state would probably have to fund it. Assuming the state of PA doesn't have a Billion laying around in petty cash and if can't budget it they'd have to do a special tax assessment. All taxpayers in PA would have to split up a BILLION. Maybe all of the taxpayers would agree that a vibrant PSU football team is in their best interests, though I think not. Especially those folks at Pitt.
Again, I'm taking it to the extreme but.... you just proved my contention, it was about protecting the FB brand. Money spent isn't the issue, according to you.

you called penn state "ped state" which is short for pedophile. way to go. that was very clever and incredibly classy of you. True. If he was not being classy he would have said 'Sloppy 2nds Ped State' or 'Double Pen State'.

Copied (word for word) from another board...(other than this opening, I'm adding NOTHING...
Pedo state related obit.
David Newhouse, who as the editor guided The Patriot-News in Harrisburg, Pa., to a Pulitzer Prize for breaking the story that led to the conviction of the Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky for sexually abusing young boys, and to the firing of Joe Paterno, the school’s once-beloved head football coach, died on Wednesday at a hospital in Hanover, N.H. He was 65. The cause was complications of leukemia, his brother Mark said. Mr. Newhouse, a member of the powerful publishing family whose best-known media holding is its Condé Nast magazine division, led a modest central Pennsylvania outpost in the Newhouse empire. But his small city daily gained national attention in March 2011 when a staff writer, Sara Ganim, reported that Mr. Sandusky was being investigated by a grand jury for allegations that he had “indecently assaulted a teenage boy.” The scandal mushroomed that November, when Mr. Sandusky was indicted on charges of sexually abusing eight boys over a 15-year period. That first article and nine others were cited by the Pulitzer board in 2012 for “courageously revealing and adeptly covering the explosive Penn State sex scandal.”
