A gun is not self-ambulatory. It has no mind. No conscience, no will. A gun cannot be violent OR peaceful. A gun is a man-made object that is ALWAYS harmless. It is the OPERATOR of the gun who is harmful or harmless. A gun is a PASSIVE TOOL. A gun will NEVER say "I want to shoot that guy/girl."

All of my guns are GOOD. They don't do ANYTHING I don't tell them to do. They are certainly more obedient and respectful than a liberal.It's illegal to murder someone, but criminals don't obey any laws if they don't want to.

However, non-interchangeable magazines would have me leaning more towards spending that $500 for a decent optical sight and/or more mags and ammunition for my Mini-14.
I really only need one 5.56 rifle and I already have mine. And Ruger has the best customer service in the business. Call 'em and tell them what you need, and if it is a small item, many times it will show up at your door in no time, FREE.
Try that with Colt, S&W, and all the rest.
The Glock turned out to be MY best choice for concealed carry. It has only the features I like, and nothing I don't need.
The AR is not unique. I get the same cartridge, and a better operating system in the Mini-14. There are no takedown pins to lose in the grass when field stripping or walk out while shooting either. The Mini-14 is just a better design.
