Back to back losses to Carolina and Chicago. No shame there since both clubs are either really hot (hurricanes) or really good (blackhawks). But the offense has been awful the last 2 weeks. 0-17 on power plays the last 9 games. I think just 11 goals the last 8 games. Doesn't get any easier with the caps and pens on the horizon next

Definitely a bad time to hit the skids. Even more so for a team that has never won a playoff series. You have to imagine the psyche is a little fragile so I completely agree with needing some life in these last few games. Probably more than most other teams.

The Jackets get the Flyers in a matinee today, the last team they have beat. Since losing to the Jackets, PHI has gone 4-2 but those two are in their last two games after briefly jumping back into the playoff chase. You wonder if being officially eliminated is enough for them to pack it in these last two games. Next up is a Sunday tilt with TOR. Just being selfish here but if the Penguins take care of business tonight against the Leafs, you will have an awful lot of Lightning fans cheering on your boys Sunday evening. Go Jackets, Go Bolts!

Ugh. the good news is that the jackets finally put together a win yesterday in the finale. the bad news is that finishing the season 1-5-1 is not the way to enter the post season. the good news is... if you'd told me columbus would win 50 games this year and finish 3rd in the conference... i would have kissed you. hell i would have kissed et. not on the lips...
