The very first revolver Colt made that was specifically designed to chamber metallic cartridges was the 1873 Model P "Peacemaker," right? Wrong.
No googling for those who don't know the correct answer.

You are on the right track, though.

Gotta be the Colt SAA then?

Gotta be the Colt SAA then? Nope, although that's what most people think.
One more try and if no one gets it then, ...................

Model 1872? You did say first Colt, right? You got it! Known as "The Open Top." Until about 1870 S&W owned the patent for a bored through cylinder, so Colts after the war had their black powder cylinders converted to fire metallic cartridges. Once the patent expired, Colt could use it, and then the 1873 Colt SAA was born.
So did you have to google it, or what?

The "I'll Be Damned!" Award.
Honestly, I just found out about them today, myself. Unbeknownst to me, my brother has one (modern replica) and he's gonna let me try it out.

Isn't this more fun than arguing with dumbass liberals over politics? I'm tired of beating them up.

Nice! That's probably an Uberti, since Taylor's imports their repros. It could be a Pietta (Beretta) also, if Pietta makes one. My brother's gun is in .38 Special, so it will be a pussycat to shoot. It's a change for him, since he normally favors .45 Colt.
I'm thinking the gun will handle the same as my Uberti SAA, which BTW, is pure awesome! Extremely accurate and a heavy breath on the trigger will trip the sear. You DON'T touch that trigger till you are on target for sure!
I want one of THESE next: www.taylorsfirearms.com/hand-guns/cartridge-revolvers/1875-army-outlaw-revolver.html
The 1875 Remington would have easily outsold the 1873 Colt, except Remington made a fatal flaw in judgment. They chose to chamber the gun in their proprietary .44 Remington cartridge instead of the extremely popular .45 Colt. That basically killed off Remington's handgun future.
