That is pretty cool. I hope Stricklin can keep what Foley built going.

That is pretty cool. I hope Stricklin can keep what Foley built going. Looks like another possible strong finish in the Director's Cup. UF is the only program to be ranked in the top 10 every year for 30+ years.

Florida Women’s Golf Captures SEC Championship Title
By Lindsey Spatola | Sunday, April 23, 2017 The Gators set a tournament and program record with a 22-under (842).
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Gators women's golf team captured the SEC Women's Golf Championship title on Sunday. Florida posted a tournament-record 22-under (842). To secure the victory, UF posted a 10-under (278) in the final round. This win marks the ninth time the Gators have won the SEC Championship in program history and the first time since 2008. Kelly Grassel had a phenomenal day for the Gators, carding eight birdies and finishing in third place. The senior tied the lowest round in event history with a career-best seven-under (65) in Sunday's final round. Overall on the weekend, Grassel tied her collegiate-best eight-under (208). Maria Torres finished in fourth at seven-under (209). Meanwhile, Taylor Tomlinson and Karolina Vlckova both finished in the top-15, as they finished tied for seventh (four-under, 212), tied for 13th (three-under, 213), respectively. Head Coach Emily Glaser:
On winning the SEC Championship... "Obviously, successful. The girls played fantastic. Today, we were able to put the pedal down after sleeping on the lead, which is hard to do. I was just really impressed with how they managed themselves." On what was key for this team... "Right now, it feels pretty good. It felt smooth today, I'm not going to lie. I think they did very well. We prepared for this. Last year, we had a good year and we weren't prepared for the SEC Championship. This year, we had a few more ups and downs, but I feel like that prepared us for what we were going to face this week." Junior Kelly Grassel On capturing the SEC Championship title... "It's hard to describe how it feels. I know how good my teammates are and we know what we are capable of, but it is still hard to win golf tournaments. I'm really proud of how everyone stayed present and in the process."
