just saw where ex president graham spanier was sentenced today (friday) to 2 months in jail after being found guilty of misdemeanor child endangerment in connection with the sandusky saga. ex-vp gary schultz also got 2 months, ex-athletic director tim curley got 3 months. both curley and schultz apologized before sentencing, to the victims and to their absence in doing more. at the sentencing one of the state prosecutors called spanier 'a complete and utter failure as a leader.' 2 months is not a lot of time behind bars, but it is an acknowledgement that the higher-ups at psu knew what was going on before it became public, and basically sat on their hands.

Meanwhile..............www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaaf/2017/06/29/ex-penn-state-athletic-director-has-cancer-seeks-house-arrest/103286144/Ex-Penn State athletic director Tim Curley has cancer, seeks house arrestHARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — Ex-Penn State athletic director Tim Curley wants a judge to modify his sentence for failing to report now-convicted sexual predator Jerry Sandusky to authorities, saying he has incurable lung cancer and liver damage. The Centre Daily Times reports Curley wants to serve his seven- to 23-month incarceration on house arrest and work release. A judge earlier this month ordered Curley to serve the three months of his sentence in jail followed by four months on house arrest after Curley and two other former Penn State administrators were convicted of child endangerment charges. State prosecutors aren't opposing the motion. Curley's attorneys filed the initial motion to modify his sentence a week later. They filed an addendum Wednesday citing unspecified "additional medical information" not spelled out in the motion.
