After the recent discussions on magazines, I decided to carry an extra one this morning on the way to my little penny-ante PT job. First time I have done that in probably forever.
So what happens? I get into a wreck 3 minutes from my house at 6:30 AM and total my van!!!
Shoulda left the goddamn spare mag at home.

To make a long story short, I was totally blinded by the rising sun, and turned left into the side of a pickup truck that I never, and I mean NEVER saw coming. I saw him AFTER the bang and sudden stop, and we were sitting there, window to window.
The van is 19 years old. and although the cosmetic damage didn't seem to be too bad. the transmission got torn up somehow, and replacing it would cost more then the van is worth. Because the van is so old, I only had liability insurance on it, so all repairs would be out of my un-deep pockets.
Oh well ........... no one is hurt. God is good! |
