I've always been very careful when cleaning my firearms to avoid having the cleaning rod touch the rifling at the muzzle but it's nigh impossible. So I got this for my Mini-14. Works great! Got a similar one for my AR's.

You're kidding, right?    SUCKER!   I solved that problem easily YEARS ago.
Go to Ace Hardware for things other than Stratocaster neck bolts and use your imagination.

You are supposed to clean a firearm bore from the chamber end anyway.  Use a bore snake if you have to.
