After baseball, it looks like UF will pass Michigan for 4th place. UF would have to win the baseball national championship to pass both Michigan and USC to move into 3rd place. Hope springs eternal, but I'm not going to predict another national championship on top of the two UF already has, women's tennis and men's outdoor track & field. I thought the softball team had a shot, but they fell short against a hot and well deserving Oklahoma team.

Currently 16th and, after baseball, will get passed by couple of teams. Nothing to complain about though, had 4 national titles this year. Men's and women's gymnastics, men's golf and softball.

I wish UF had a couple of more sports. I'm tired of seeing Stanford on top of the rankings. I'd welcome the bucknuts getting the #1 spot, anybody except Stanford. It was great when UF beat Stanford in regular season women's tennis and then followed that up with a 4-1 win over Stanford for the national championship. Four team national championships in one season is really good. Besides UF finishing 2 in softball behind OU, I also consider UF to be 2 behind OU in women's gymnastics. The Gators outperformed LSU for the second spot in the Super Six, but the judges gave it to LSU anyway likely based on having a better overall season. I like watching women's gymnastics, but I hate the judging. I know that's a big surprise. Look out, UF is loaded for the next gymnastics season. Given the level that UF and OU compete against each other, it's time to schedule a home and home in football before we both get too far into the future or schedule more of the season opening special games.

The ya go, hating on OSU again It's too bad OU and UF couldn't have had a home and home while Stoops was there. Would be fun to see Stoops back in The Swamp.

I read that the HBC is throwing a beach party on Daytona Beach for his past UF players and coaches. I'd wager Bobby Stoops will be in attendance. If so, he'll probably visit with Mac in The Swamp too: www.seccountry.com/florida/steve-spurrier-daytona-beach-gators

With UF getting 100 points for winning the baseball national championship when the final ranking is released on 6/30 or 7/1, the Gators will have jumped over both Michigan and USC moving into 3rd place behind Stanford and tOSU.
UF won 3 national championships in the 2016-17 athletics season; women's tennis, men's outdoor track & field, and baseball. With 21 sports, 2nd or 3rd is about as high as UF can expect to get without adding more men's and women's sports. I've read that Stanford has 36 sports from which they get to pull out their top 20 scoring sports for their Director's Cup score.
