Hadn't read that Fultz had a weakness somewhere in one of his legs. Otherwise why did Philly trade for him?

Hadn't read that Fultz had a weakness somewhere in one of his legs. Otherwise why did Philly trade for him? Don't know what to think of this. I watched the kid play at UDUB a lot in Pac play and wasn't "first overall pick" impressed, but then again, they don't pay me for my opinions...

Hadn't read that Fultz had a weakness somewhere in one of his legs. Otherwise why did Philly trade for him? 3 of the NBA's top 6 players under 23 will be starting for the 76ers next year! this is awesome for the 76ers!!! he's the perfect compliment to simmons. simmons is a point forward. simmons biggest stengths is his rebuilding, transition game, passing, vision and speed. he'll start the transition offense on turnovers and rebounds. he can't guard most guards in the league but can guard most forwards. fultz is more of a pure guard he can play off the ball or run the half court offense if need be. simmons cannot run the half court offense as point. his shot isn't strong enough to make opponents pay for give him space. defensively, the 76ers are going to be incredible if they reach their potential. embiid is a top 3 rim protector already and he's only played 31 games. simmons is nearly 7'0 as well and doesn't need to be around the rim to be effective. he can cover most wings/forwards. and fultz can shut down most guards. he's 6'5 with a 6'11 wingspan. he doesn't have the elite quickness of a westbrook or john wall but he's still very quick and agile. robert convington has proven to be an elite 3 and d wing player. fultz was the perfect compliment to the talent the 76ers have assembled over the years. lebron can't dominate the east forever. and the 76ers rise should coincide with his decline.

i also wanted to note that this awesome trade was due to incredible trades made by the dark lord, sam hinkie. had hinkie made no trades, the 76ers would only have the 5th pick in this years draft. but hinkie did a pick swap with the kings so we would take nick stausus (who is decent and cheap). so that moved us from 5 to 3. we also traded the lakers #1 pick next year, which hinkie acquired for michael carter williams. MCW is now a back up guard for the bulls and nowhere close to a 1st round pick, let alone the lakers likely top 10 pick next year.

I've been a Celtics fan for so long, I remember the Russell-Chamberlain games- and I mean the Philly Warriors, not just the 76ers. Maybe these trades will re-ignite the glory days for both teams (but mostly the Celtics 😁)

Maybe these trades will re-ignite the glory days for both teams (but mostly the Celtics 😁) celtics are in a unique position...they are a lebron groin pull away from being in the nba finals next year. and they have future assets that could get them jimmy butler, who is a 2nd tier NBA star. but does jimmy butler put them ahead of golden state or even healthy cleveland? probably not. so is he worth trading for? but at the same time, the celtics could continue to compete well and entertain fans while coming up short. and at the same time, they could build for the future still in hopes some of their high draft picks turn into stars by the time cleveland/golden state come back down to earth. jaylen brown looks like a good draft pick. not sure he's going to be an elite star. in 2018, the celts are in great position to get michael porter or luke doncic. luke doncic will be the #1 pick next year. and this year, they are likely taking josh jackson who many believe to be the top player. also look and ainge's draft history. it's not great (fab melo, really?. he's better at trades than he is at drafting. as for the 76ers/celtics rivalry? i badly hope it gets re-ignited. the celts and sixers are both poised to rise in the conference over the next few seasons. and it would be a ton of fun to see fultz/josh jackson going back and forth with each other in their primes after being traded for each other. god i love the nba offseason. the nba is so much fun to talk about.

Well, you're obviously a lot more knowledgeable about the potential of the available talent than I am. I've never been a facts and figures guy. But 2 things: Right on about the Fultz-Jackson rivalry; a lot of potential drama there, maybe the next Bird-Magic show? Also, the sooner LeBron's sorta-glory days are over, the better. Da bum!

Looks like Paul George may end up here as well.

The West will come through LA, sooner rather than later. GS has about run its course. Watch and see, the rules, guarding the perimeter three, will change. The NBA playoffs were dull, lopsided and predictable. The NBA crowned a champion, but with little, outside of the Bay Area, to celebrate.

At this stage in his career, I think the Clips are a better fit for Lebron, much as I'd like to see him a Laker. They are very near the "blow it up" stage and it's either go all in or blow it up. They are a veteran team that just hasn't had the IT guy to get them over the top. Lebron is that guy. In addition, there is this; the Clippers are....well...the Clippers. They just don't create any buzz in SoCal. Lebron fixes that problem as well and adding West seals it. If they can make that happen, at last maybe they can finally lose that Clipper stink and earn some respect.
