Ahh! The greatest time of the year. Tomatoes are ripe in the garden. Had BLTs with fresh garden grown Romaine and tomatoes (picked that day) last weekend. Just had two tomato & lettuce sammiches, with mayo of course, and a slice of Vidalia onion. Heavenly.

We won't have any garden fresh tomatoes here until August. I can make a meal of them and there isn't a day goes by when they are fresh here that I don't have them for both lunch and dinner. Sometimes I just grab a salt shaker and head to the garden, pick one, wipe it off on my pants, sprinkle a little salt on it and start chowin down.

weather has been wet, and for the most part chilly. Although the last week or so has been hot and humid. Broccoli isn't doing for crap. It's been under water a few times. the pepper plants are producing a bumper crop. looks like green pepper slices with peanut butter as a light lunch today.
