One reason he doesn't mention is because that big old case and bullet are easy to handle when reloading.
Anybody ever tried to reload 9MM, or even worse .......... .380ACP? It's like trying to stack BB's.
Why do I carry a .45? Just because.

?Shouldn't your magazines already be loaded?
I don't have a problem but you know how hard it is to load those last couple of rounds of .45. Some people literally can't do it.

The mags I find hard to load are .22 LR mags. It's fairly common to find a sharp feed lip on one. A good magazine loader to help depress the follower spring is a good idea for one of those.
What's funny is that the mags for my Mini-14 actually hold more rounds than what they are rated for. 22 and 33, IIRC. I don't keep them deliberately overloaded -- it was something I discovered by chance. |

My P220 8 round mags are pretty tough on the last round. I can see how a woman or a wimp couldn't get number 7 and 8 in, maybe even 6.
