OK, I admit the title is a bit misleading. In this case RugerTM refers to modern SA revolvers of ALL brands while ColtTM refers to the 1873 Colt SAA and all of its authentic clones.
The "Ruger family" is extremely strong, usually with coil mainsprings, floating firing pins, transfer bar actions, adjustable sights, and other neat stuff that make them safe to carry with all 6 chambers loaded, and they are strong enough to shoot some super powerful cartridges.
The Colt and its clones are true to the original ............ flat mainspring, fixed sights consisting of a front blade and rear sight channel on the frame, they aren't stronger than handling something like the .357 magnum, and their hammer-mounted firing pin make them safe to carry with only 5 rounds. BUT when you cock them .......... they spell out C-O-L-T with 4 distinct little clicks.
Me, I like pretending I'm the Old West gunslinger with my trusty old Colt.
(However, I MUST admit in all honesty, even though I have a gunslinger rig for my .45 Colt Uberti Regulator, I have never even TRIED fast drawing, fast shooting, or anything else like that with live ammunition. Shooting real bullets is reserved for slow aimed fire. I may be stupid, but I am NOT crazy.)

Well you shoot yourself in the foot around here enough that I can understand why you wouldn't want to do it in real life.

Well you shoot yourself in the foot around here enough that I can understand why you wouldn't want to do it in real life. That's funny. Not true, but funny.
