The compact, 10 round mags. Not the full size and not the subcompact. $499.99 at Bud's.

So SIG has finally jumped on the Glock cloning bandwagon, too. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but the Glock G30S is smaller in H, W. and L, and is lighter by 1/4 pound. With a 9 round mag, the G30S is even shorter in height. For me, there is still no match in the 10 round, small sized, .45ACP, striker-fired category.
I personally don't like serrations on the forward part of the slide. They are unnecessary, and can actually lead to a sloppy gunhandler putting his hand in front of the muzzle.
But if YOU like/want it, that's all that matters. Stand up for your 2A rights and buy one.

OK, now THAT is funny. The Glock 30 and 30OD are the EXACT same gun, except for finish, yet the OD has to be approved separately? The G30S that I own is not on the approved list, either. The G30 and G30SF ARE, and all 3 are the exact same thing, except for the 30S having a marginally thinner slide.
Dude, CA is a fucked-up state for gun owners!

If a gun is up to federal standards, it is good enough to be used and sold in CA, WITHOUT all that superfluous bullshit. Looks to me like your state thinks CA gunowners are especially stupid or fragile and need Big Brother to protect them.
This brings me to another point, kind of off subject, but .......... Where are Fender guitars made? In the People's Republic of Commiefornia, AND in Mexico. Fender could move to a free state AND stop using cheap Mexican labor for their MIM series. I will do my best NOT to buy anything made in California. Thank goodness I prefer Made in the USA Gibsons!

I heard things... I heard things... Did you get that SIG yet? Sept. 1, 2, and 3 are tax-free Second Amendment recognition days here in Louisiana. No sales tax on firearm related items. Isn't it great to live in a state that BACKS the 2nd Amendment and gun owners' rights?
Oh wait ......... Sorry. I didn't mean to rub it in.

Nope. The 320's are problematic. Do a search. SIG is scrambling to fix the problem. Besides, I'd rather have a 1911 and an AR10 or SCAR 17. Basically, I'm looking to add a .45 ACP and a 7.62x51mm. I liked the 320 until I heard about the issue with them.

And all parts are interchangeable with Colt 1911's, which makes upgrades a snap (if you want to ruin a good gun).www.gunbroker.com/item/689443053Ruger makes a nice AR10, even has an all chrome-plated bolt. Too expensive for MY blood, but Ruger DOES have the best customer service if you ever need it. The SCAR 17 is too ugly and way too expensive for my tastes.www.gunbroker.com/item/686540592But I was mainly asking just to rub it in that LA. is a gun-friendly state.

I'm not opposed to a High Standard. Good value for sure. I'd also like a race gun as well, like the Les Baers. As far as an AR-10 goes I would probably do a built because I'm very particular about what parts I want. So one High Standard, one Les Baer, one SCAR 17 and one AR10 built. Are you trying to put me in the poor house or something?

As for me, I'm just checking my piggy bank to see if another Mini-14 magazine is in my future. I only have 2, and if there is a downside to the Ruger, it is the fact that they use only Ruger style mags, and those are NOT cheap.
Or should I buy a set of .223/5.56 reloading dies, which would then also require the purchase of suitable warheads, powder and primers? My brother who is an avid handloader, says it is not practical to reload .223's, with the easy availablilty of cheap factory loads. I'm not a hunter or target shooter, so I don't need precision just loads, just the ones that go bang and send a little pill downrange for fun. And they are certainly accurate enough for social work.
