Or should I buy a set of .223/5.56 reloading dies, which would then also require the purchase of suitable warheads, powder and primers?  My brother who is an avid handloader, says it is not practical to reload .223's, with the easy availablilty of cheap factory loads.  I'm not a hunter or target shooter, so I don't need precision just loads, just the ones that go bang and send a little pill downrange for fun.  And they are certainly accurate enough for social work.

The cheapest .223 you'll find is around a quarter a pop. I save all my good .223 brass.

What do you do with it?

Keep it in a 5 gallon bucket. Plan to reload someday after I retire. Or I could sell it.

Gotcha.
If you plan to reload "someday," buy the essentials (press, dies, powder measures, scales, trickler, etc.) now.   The prices will only go up in the future.

I bought an electronic scale off eBay for $10.00 brand new a few years ago.  It works perfectly.   Kinda like this one.  It has switchable units of measure, including grains, which is what you need in a powder measure, and allows you to set tare weight as well.
