That's why I'm not a Rambo.  Not even a dirty thieving thug's life should be lost over property.  Since there is no such thing as shooting to wound, and firing a gun in the air is totally irresponsible (Biden SHOULD know that), I WILL be prepared to defend myself, but I'm not going to shoot a guy with an armload of Samsung 55" TV.  Nor will I waste a shot that I might need by boring a hole in the sky.

These folks who want to "shoot the burglar no matter what" can deal with their own problems after the shooting.  Let 'em have at it.
Since I WAS a professional, I think I know the best way to handle it.  I retired.  My sensible mind did NOT.

I disagree with you on just about everything, but when LSU and USC finally schedule that H&H, what fun we will have.

I will probably be dead before that happens.   LOL   USC and LSU would be fun because of the great distance and culture shock each fan base would experience.  Not to mention USC has a great tradition and history.

Yes, I talk a lot of shit, and I AM pretty cold-hearted because of all the stuff I've seen, but I know the there are so many little legal technicalities, and cops' natural suspicions, that would make even a clear-cut shooting a major pain in the ass.  But again, a dead person looks so small, helpless and insignificant.
And when it is a particularly messy death, you tend to remember it.

And yes, I don't care WHAT the law allows, my morality tells me it is wrong to use deadly force to stop a pure property crime.  I will have to answer to God if I take a life.   Would GOD justify it?   That's what matters to me ......   not man's judgement.

In the old days, hanging a horse thief made sense, since leaving a man without a horse in the wilderness could be HIS death sentence.   That's no longer the case.
