By the way Cardinal is a color, not a bird, which is why it is singular.
Stanford has no official mascot. The Tree is based on El Palo Alto, a redwood tree in neighboring Palo Alto that appears in the Stanford seal and athletics logo.

I'm happy. Not only did I finish over the Mendoza line, but I was only 8 games out of first place. I don't know if that's good for me or a sign that we're a lousy bunch of pickers. What I DO know is that most of the guys ended up the season under Coal. Maybe she needs to go find a job at the nearest Native American casino......
