You two are funny. Totally wrong, but funny.
Since I am the one who loaded the dummy rounds into the gun, I am the only one who handled the gun, and I am the one who took the photo, it was perfectly safe. Now if you two can't tell the difference between a lightweight RED aluminum snap cap and a heavy brass-cased REAL bullet, that's a YOU issue.
Same gun, same photo session. Now what do you think those red things are between the rear of the cylinder and the recoil shield? Any idea??? Roll caps? Funny boy. Which one are you ................ Moe, Larry or Curly?

I remember the ring caps but don't see the ones you're talking about at the link. I loved those metal pocket rockets!

I remember the ring caps but don't see the ones you're talking about at the link. I loved those metal pocket rockets! Again, depending on the toy (gun/rocket/whatever) there were different kinds/styles. The original cap guns often had the caps in a roll that you loaded on a little rod inside the gun, unwinding up to the hammer. There was a different type for the belt-buckle derringer, and I think all of them were different to promote that toy gun or whatever (& sell more shit to spoiled kids whose mommys & daddys had money to blow).

We used those roll caps for everything. I even have a bunch here for my daughter's pink 'six shooters'. I thought you were talking about some sort of caps on a stick when you said Greenie Stick M caps. Remember pounding a whole roll with a hammer or a big rock? It's a wonder we never put an eye out!

No, the 'stick-m' variety was a peel & stick, single shot kind of thing. As I remember, the rolls had the little hole at the dividers, and we just tore 'em apart; share your 'ammo' with your buddies... I'm surprised that they still make those caps. With all the anti-gun crap, it is a small wonder...

Yep. We basically had the roll caps, the circular caps in the disposable plastic housing and the stick 'em caps for the cap bomb. Used all of them! I remember as a kid finding a random .22 round here or there. We would pull the bullet out and make a little pile of gunpowder and light it on fire. Good times.

Remember trying to wrap the powder in paper to attempt to make firecrackers...
