sports.yahoo.com/ncaa-hands-no-punishment-north-carolina-academic-fraud-scandal-141411202.htmlcommittee on infractions said it could not conclude that unc violated ncaa academic rules. so no sanctions. despite that the fact that, literally, over a thousand student athletes, mostly football/basketball, benefitted from sham classes between 1993 and 2011. unc did nothing until a raleigh newspaper's investigative report unearthed the fraud, and the school did not even self-impose sanctions, instead defiantly defending the classes. wow.

according to the ncaa, they have no jurisdiction if fake classes are offered to all students?
so all a school has to do is offer fake classes and just make it available to everyone?

1966, was my freshman year in college. I attended a small Midwest college on a football scholarship. Our head coach also taught a health class and all football players were required to take it. First day of class, Coach stands in front of the class and makes this statement, "football players get A's and B's, the rest of you C's and D's. see you Wednesday!" True story!
