What is "sin," really?

It is missing the mark, distancing ourselves from God, failing to live up to the image and likeness of the Lord, the Christ, which is our highest nature.

The Kingdom of "Heaven" is not some "pie in the sky."

It is within us and all around us, even in this "fallen" material world.

But the Spirit of God cannot dwell in an unclean tabernacle.

Well, yes, that hit a nerve for me.  Some things are sacred-- especially the Crucifixion.

Burning man is an interesting phenomenon.  There is a pagan, Satanic quality about the festival that reminds me of the bad guys in that Mad Max movie, the Road Warrior.

It is as religious as anything you can read, just not with a centralized notion of a supreme being and not in ways that organized religion can make a buck on. It's subtle, but I think it has something to do with the internal combustion engines, deserts, leather S&M outifits, and gasoline...
