Sad. O, ye of little understanding.
What is "sin," really?
It is missing the mark, distancing ourselves from God, failing to live up to the image and likeness of the Lord, the Christ, which is our highest nature.
The Kingdom of "Heaven" is not some "pie in the sky."
It is within us and all around us, even in this "fallen" material world.
But the Spirit of God cannot dwell in an unclean tabernacle.

Eloquently put, but... Lighten up, Francis. It wasn't meant to be taken seriously, But if you want to take it seriously, then take it as a criticism of the hijacking of the nature of sin by folks who seek not the end of sin, but furtherance of an unholy agenda.

Well, yes, that hit a nerve for me. Some things are sacred-- especially the Crucifixion. Burning man is an interesting phenomenon. There is a pagan, Satanic quality about the festival that reminds me of the bad guys in that Mad Max movie, the Road Warrior.

Go to their website and study their guiding principles. It is as religious as anything you can read, just not with a centralized notion of a supreme being and not in ways that organized religion can make a buck on. It is closer to true christian dogma sans the god stuff than just about anything else on the planet.

I know a lot more about Burning Man than you think. One of my patients, and a neighbor, are Burning Man enthusiasts.

One of my patients, and a neighbor, are Burning Man enthusiasts. ...then why do you refer to those "enthusiasts" as reminding you of "bad guys" in a movie? It's subtle, but I think it has something to do with the internal combustion engines, deserts, leather S&M outifits, and gasoline...
