I'm watching the first quarter of the Cotton Bowl and I've seen two obvious blows to the head of the USC WR on third down plays that weren't called.
The first was a helmet-to-helmet targeting penalty, and the second was a punch by Sheffield to Burnett's head on the reviewed play that was ruled an incompletion. It was a right hook to the face mask-- BAM! Right in front of the refs.
The Buckeyes also got away with an obvious pass interference on the last play of USC's second drive.
Other than those three erroneous no-calls, the refs are doing a great job.
