www.detroitnews.com/story/tech/2018/01/18/msu-president-told-nassar-complaint-2014/1042071001/per the detroit news... at least 14 people connected with michigan state knew about reports of sexual misconduct by larry nasser who was a university doctor....president mary anna simon was aware of the allegations as well. MSU administrators received contemporaneous first hand victim complaints over the course of many years. i'm posting this here b/c in 2012 the ncaa hammered penn state for their inactions in stopping sandusky. it seems to me that evidence of a cover up is far more pervasive at msu than at psu. why no national dialogue about this? no SNL skits? daily show monologues? leading stories on the evening news? local and national sports radio hosts and sports writers pretending to be experts in this type of abuse? the silence by ncaa only proves they will only act if they can pile on. and since no one else is angry about this, there is no piling on necessary.

Short answer is basically Nassar is a nobody while Paterno was a somebody who was on a pedestal. Add to that, college football has more fans than gymnastics. IMO, this thing is far worse than what happened at Penn State.
