And for the 5th time Reagan never said that. I've corrected you often, no surprise there by anyone on the WWW, and yet you continue to be inaccurate. Are you a liar or forgetful? Horseshit. Reagan opposed the sale of AK-47 assault rifles. But the subject of this thread is the control of the GOP Congress and White House by the NRA on legislation that would reduce mass shootings. Try to stay on topic, Cheese Burgher. 6th time, he was against a AK 47 machine gun ie a full auto AK. Which, in this country is controlled and licenced. No disagreement w Reagan.
I found your missing link, you don't know the difference. Do some homework before quoting someone.

The central subject of this thread is about the NRA Republicon industrial complex. How is the NRA propaganda and lobbying to block gun control legislation formally different from what the tobacco industry did for years to increase cancer rates in the U.S.? Answer the question, Cheese Head.

You cite bogus facts, get caught, refuse to admit your error in judgement then you run off. Jeez, I should charge you tuition.
Now re the NRA, no doubt they try to influence our .gov reps. Is that earth shattering news? No different than any other org that tries to influence. Change the lobby rules. Good luck. Companies, labor unions, and other organizations spend billions of dollars each year to lobby Congress and federal agencies.
The NRA, since 1998, has reported spending a cumulative $45.9 million on federal lobbying, both for its in-house operations and the outside consultants it has retained. In 2017, Pharma spent 25.8MM/AMA 21.5MM/AHA 22MM.

Stop hijacking this important thread with your focus on trivial, peripheral details. Answer the fxcking question I asked you. How is the NRA's bribery of Trump and the GOP Congress to block gun control formally different from the tobacco industry's history of lobbying government officials to block legislation to prevent cancer caused by smoking? Stop deflecting!!

Nitwit. Go back and learn basic Newtonian physics, along with multi-variant analysis and statistics. It's time for Americans to call bullshit on your idiotic Trump/GOP/NRA BULLSHIT... Tom Mauser spent years trying to fix the problem of gun violence in our schools after his son was killed at Columbine High School. The crooked GOP/NRA industrial complex fought him every step of the way. We can stop these senseless mass murders in the U.S., once the people are finally educated enough to see through your sleazy, dishonest GOP/NRA bullshit. As Krugman said today, the GOP in America has become a party of greedy, dishonest scoundrels-- like Donald Trump, Paul Ryan, and Mitch McConnell.

Why is it that gun enthusiasts do not want to police their own? Why is that? The Florida kid did everything legally, gun zealots get a black eye in the court of public opinion because of his actions, and yet they defend the process that gave them the black eye. WHY DO THAT? Why do you always refer to gun owners in the shrieking hysterics of "gun zealots"? Are you a misinformation zealot? What shall I call you and your gun-loving friends? I do want to be politically correct about it.

I trust that such will be the moniker you will use to refer to those who endorse greater gun control measures...and for that matter, any other cause that is discussed on this board.

It is the CRIMINAL who steals guns and uses them in criminal activities.
OK. So if I ever see you getting beaten by a couple of thugs, I'll do two things .......... 1) Call 911. 2) Video the beating for the 10 minutes or so it will take the cops to show up and intervene. If you are lucky, they might show up in five minutes.
My concealed handgun will remain concealed and I will tell the cops I didn't see NOTHIN'. That is so much more convenient for me than to get involved, save your ass, and then have to endure hours of interrogation by the cops. It also stops me from being at risk of having to waste more of my time testifying in court.
