Sunday will be the Super Bowl of NASCAR. It should be 73 and sunny for race day. It's odd that the biggest race of the season (though I like the Charlotte, Darlington, and Atlanta races better) comes at the beginning of the season instead of the end.
NASCAR is considering rotating the season ending race around the country to improve ratings. I agree with the idea because I think the Homestead, Florida track is dull. But November is not great weather in many parts of the country.
NASCAR is also considering a couple of Wednesday night races in the fall to avoid football and give the teams an extra weekend home.
Also, the Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis has been moved to September to get the fans out of the heat of the summer in Indiana. I think more of the summer races should be moved to Saturday nights for the same reason.
I miss a couple of the old tracks like Rockingham and Ontario Motor Speedway.
