Given the Republicon-induced paucity of non-industry related gun homicide prevention data in the U.S., the Klarevas data from Massachusetts is all the more important. There is also a comprehensive database at Mother Jones which is consistent with Klarevas's data here. |

They are civilian-specific semiautomatic sporting rifles. Nothing more, and most of them are chambered for the relatively low-powered 5.56mm/.223 Remington and 7.62x39 ammunition.
