For a lot of teams, losing in the first round of the NCAA only supports the idea that you probably should have been in the NIT instead.

Wasn't the first round for UGA.  I'd rather be in the MNC game AND win. Greedy I guess.

football is a different animal but if those were my only choices i’d take losing the cfb title game. but winning the nit can certainly be proof your team was good enough to make the ncaa

The comparisons got real silly and real fast. From losing in the first round of the NCAA to losing in the CFB title game. I get the notion that being in the title game is a big thing, but for me...if you play a game, it's about winning.
