some thoughts:
- lots of yelling at my tv last nite. wife thinks i am a lunatic.
- a buddy of mine who has season tix in the nosebleeds sold his pair for $400. face value per ticket is around $30. shows you 76ers are really something in the city right now.
- Lebron is obviously the goat. he can do it all so well.
- even though Lebron is the goat, he takes defensive plays off. he prob wants to preserve his energy for the end of the game.
- i actually don't know if Lebron would fit in with the 76ers. Lebron would have to be willing to play off the ball b/c ben Simmons needs to be primary ball handler. would he be willing to?
- speaking of ben simmons...he really is a special player. his ability to rebound and pass at his height is unique. he's also really good defensively. and thanks to quality coaching, he has really learned to take better care of the ball as the season has progressed. he is going to be a top 5 player in the league for sometime.
- cavs transition defense is trash.
- this is prob the worst team lebron has been on since 2007. and b/c of how great Lebron is, the cavs are still probably going to the finals this year.
- I'm really encouraged about the win not only b/c they won w/o embiid but b/c the cavs actually played really well. that was a once in a decade game by Jeff green. and Lebron brought his A game as well. w/o embiid and w/ Dario sarin being a complete non factor due to rust, the 76ers still found a way to win. incredible.
- if embiid is healthy, sixers will just have another dimension to beat you. defensively, lebron won't be able to just muscle unmatched defenders inside all game with embiid roaming around in the paint. offensively, the 76ers have a fabulous post up player who can know down open jump shots and three's all day. they'll be be able to match teams that slow the game down. last nite, it took the cavs some time to adjust to the 76ers speed. once they did, the 76ers really struggled. with embiid, they're able to punch right back. still nice to get the win at the end.
