Arizona State, Oregon, UCLA, and Washington have extended invitations to Florida, Florida State, Georgia, and Oklahoma to participate in the PAC 12 Invitational. 4 - PAC 12 2 - SEC 1 - ACC 1 - Big 12 www.seccountry.com/sec/2018-womens-college-world-series-schedule-bracket-teams-for-ncaa-softball-tournament-monday#2 seed Florida faces #7 seed Georgia: I have thought since midseason that Georgia would somehow implode when they lost their senior experienced ace of their pitching staff to a college career ending injury. Surprise, surprise, the poodles are still playing. The Gators and poodles face off on Thursday night. Georgia has one of the best offenses in the nation regardless of the quality of the opposing pitcher. To get this far, the poodles have proved they belong with or without their ace pitcher. #3 seed UCLA faces #6 seed Florida State. #4 seed Oklahoma faces #5 seed Washington. #1 seed Oregon faces #8 seed Arizona State. There were no upsets in the regionals or super regionals.

Oregon, UCLA, and Washington look like the real deal. Arizona State? Not so much. Arizona State, Florida State, and Oklahoma were sent to the losers bracket by these teams. Florida sent Georgia to the losers bracket.
It's Oregon vs. Washington in the opening Friday night game.
It wouldn't surprise me to see an all PAC showdown in the final series. We'll see if Florida can do anything to slow down UCLA in their 1/2 of the bracket in the late game tonight.
Oklahoma will get the chance to move forward after they likely eliminate Arizona State on Saturday in the losers bracket although the odds are against them winning the WCWS. Only 2 of 37 teams have lost their first game and gone on to win the WCWS. The Sooners are strong enough that they could do it, but nothing in their easy season scheduling has prepared them to do so.
