Yes. It cannot be used to obstruct justice.
Well...actually it can if Congress abdicates their constitutional duty and allows it. And so far Republicans have not exhibited any backbone to want to stop it.

Frankly, I don't think Manafort knows much about the depth of Trump's Russia involvement.
But he knows the players and he knows, for instance, how it was he even came to be involved with Trump. That alone could be an interesting story.
