The Republican questioning is being done by a qualified attorney with restraint and sympathy for Ford's supposed experience. But the Democrats each have lauded her for her "courage" in coming forth and this should not have been allowed. The Democrats should have been required to appoint one of her many attorneys to ask her questions. Every Democrat is grandstanding for the audience, as is Ford. The entire charade is ludicrous. Republicans are so scared of hurting someones feelings that they might as well hang Judge Kavanaugh in effigy, if not in reality.
Fords opening statement, well written by some experienced script writer, was delivered by her with such fake emotion as to make a high school play look professional.
If Congress accepts this pitiful performance and votes against confirmation, then the Republicans might as well just go home and give Democrats control of Congress.
I will instruct my senators and congressman that if they vote against Judge Kavanaugh I will support and vote for their opponent.

if the republicans allowed mark judge to testify, it would have been more about evidence and less about her credibility.  but since it's kav's word vs. ford's word, people are using her credibility to decide.  the only eye witness not being subpoenaed and forced to testify under oath is insane.

Anybody but me find it odd a polygraph is administered at an airport? No external unpredictable vibrations? Most of the test pieces added to the body are nothing more than a seismograph.

According to a C-Span PSB 2018 poll 52% of Americans 18- 65+, couldn't name one SCOTUS. Of the 48% who could, CT was named 14% of the time, Ginsberg 25%. Note that Kennedy was named in 4% of the responses. Scalia and kavanaugh 1% each. 32% don't follow the SCOTUS at all or vert little. Another 39% somewhat.

When asked "Can you identify the individual recently named by President Trump to serve on the U.S. Supreme Court?", 65% couldn't.

Again I say, most would ask what debacle? 

Re your CT quote, did they ever discern that's what it was? C word isn't my favorite, perhaps pubic would have been better?

A polygraph is NOT a lie detector, as any qualified examiner will tell you.  It measures the body's reaction to questions.

In the lying accuser's case .............  there were no preliminary "test" questions given to use as a standard for gauging her reaction to specific questions.

Normally a subject will be asked questions the examiner knows is true ...........  such as name, the date, who is President, and other innocuous questions.  This was NOT done, and therefore the "results" are totally devoid of any value.

BTW, in his ongoing opening statement, Kavanaugh CONTINUES to DESTROY the story against him.
