What is the deal with Trump's embrace of the guy who Trump 's own CIA has concluded ordered the assassination of an American-based journalist?
Why is Trump going so far as to deport a Turkish cleric in hopes it might shut up the Turkish government's vocal criticism of the murder?

What is the geo-political gain in backing a demonstrably loose cannon in the M-E?

It looks as though the Congress will take up a Magnitsky Act sanctions bill of members of the Saudi govt, including the royal family. Will Trump sign it?
If not, why not?

Erdogen wants Gulen dead. If Trump sends him to Turkey he won't last long. That's why Obama refused Turkish demands to deport him. I'll email my Senators and Congressman and ask them to prevent this from happening.

I have this odd connundrum about deleting. If I delete it as soon as it goes up, a lot of folks won't know what it was or why it is deleted and then I'm bound to get the "why'd you delete my post?" posts. It's already happened a few times. I prefer the honor system as CWG did and deleted it himself.
That said, short of that acceptance, once I let it survive one round of response, then deletion makes more sense.

Notwithstanding the massive geo-political mess he'd cause, I don't think Trump even has the authority to deport the guy.
DOJ would have to show cause that passes muster with the laws regarding deportation of legal permanent residents.
