Just saw that John Havlicek died tonight. One of my favorite Celtics. RIP John. May he RIP... Loved to watch him and the Celtics play back in the day. Always liked the way he kept moving and running, tried to do the same when I played. Hell, if I were 6" taller, he and I would have been teammates in the NBA.

Loved to watch him and the Celtics play back in the day. Always liked the way he kept moving and running, tried to do the same when I played. Hell, if I were 6" taller, he and I would have been teammates in the NBA. Sure...with Larry Byrd, too, right?

Great player_great man.in his days, top pro players certainly made good money, but not the out of this world contracts of today. I read that havlicek was an early investor in wendy's here in town. he still did speaking engagements and plenty of charity work, but he never had to work a regular job after his hoops career ended. well-rounded talent off the court as well as on...
