my sixers came up a bit short this year. talent wasn't the issue. 76ers were really talented but the fit did not quite work well. embiid was not 100% (even though he was still quite a force defensively). the spacing with embiid and simmons will be a problem the sixers need to address as both players can't play in the paint at the same time. and simmons doesn't have the confidence to shoot outside of the paint. didn't help the kawai leonard is playing out of his freakin mind right now. against more inferior teams, sixers had the luxury of sitting embiid and playing simmons at the 5. but toronto smartly went big putting in marc gasol and serge ibaka at the same time so the 76ers got crushed everytime they tried to play smaller.
good luck to the bucks. i will be cheering for them against the raptors. i do not like the city of toronto ever since joe carter in 1993 ruined my childhood. i think the bucks will win in 6.
76ers will hopefully retool next year as they aren't far from being a legit contender. just need a backup center so embiid could take a breather without the opponent going on a ridiculous run. , need embiid to take better care of himself and manage his load during the season better and need ben simmons to work on a legit jumper so the paint isn't always so clogged when both he and embiid are in the game together.

Sixers had a damn good year...that said, not really sold on Embiid. Agree with you that Bucks beat Toronto.

what is there to not like about embiid? besides his health and endurance (which are vital fwiw), he's the most unstoppable player in the NBA IMO. marc gasol was a tough matchup for him. gasol was once a defensive player of the year. toronto was smart to trade for him.

Just never cared for him...maybe it's because I hate Kansas and he went there on the one-year $100K under the table plan.
All that said, I do recognize he is a major talent. Wouldn't say he's the most unstoppable in the NBA, imo that is Kevin Durant.

The Denver Nuggets, like the Sixers, missed the Conference Finals in a depressing Game Seven squeaker to Portland.
Nikola Jokic played the entire game without sitting on the bench, (other than half-time) and ran out of gas down the home stretch.
Denver won the Northwest Division by one game over the Trail Blazers this year. The Nuggets were the #2 seed in the Western Playoffs.
In any case, Portland deserves the Western Finals-- they beat the Nuggets in four close games, including the 4 OT game the other night.
I doubt that anyone can beat Golden State, but we'll see...

Thanks. 76ers had a fine yr and got tossed by a 4 bounce shot. 76ers certainly have a ton of talent, maybe too much, concentrated on the top tier. Biggest issue I see w Philly is the folks that will enter FA. Which will then impact the day Embiid/Simmons get to cash in. Perhaps they deal Simmons.

It was a choke job for the ages...blowing a 17-point lead at home. Glorious to watch.

you say you 'hate' ku (hate is such a strong word), and then the next player you utter did his 1-year plan in austin? not that I don't disagree w/you; right now durant can score from anywhere on just about anyone. now if he wasn't so so sensitive...

Missouri is the girl who's a 5, but thinks she's a 10. The school has 2 national titles in its entire existence. To be charitable, that's not stellar.

One more than the Fluffs if you eliminate skiing. And even then, it took CU a 5th down V Mizzou for them to get that one in '90. Which they shared w GT, so they really only have a half. Mizzou's the 2:00 AM girl, who, by then, are all a 10. Well when I was younger anyway. Now it's the 10PM girl who are all a 10. By 2:00 AM................
