Any Common Ground?

   American society is deeply fractured right now between ardent Trump supporters and those who mistrust and/or dislike Donald Trump.

   It's obvious everywhere you look nowadays, including this forum. 

   My question for the forum-- is there any common ground?

   Are there some basic values and aspirations that we all share-- peace, prosperity, the rule of law, etc.?

Do we all agree that respect for the law is important for our society?

Finding common ground requires mutual respect; unfortunately, only a few here seem able to have those type of discussions.

To reiterate-- the two questions I posted are 1) general and 2) specific.

2)  Do we all agree that respect for the law is important for our society?

oujour makes a valid point. Your asinine attack at him is the exclamation point on his comment.
If we all could show respect for the opinions of others, even when we disagree with them, we could have meaningful discussion here and maybe cause each other to think about the opinions of others rather than just attacking them as "socialists" or "redhats" or other insults. Commentary is always better than lecture.
