I probably shouldn't post this during the 2019 NBA Finals, but I watched the HBO documentary about Magic Johnson and Larry Bird last night.
It was extremely well done. A+
Magic & Bird played for the NCAA title the year I graduated from Brown, ('79) and I was fortunate to live in Boston from 1979-83, during Bird's first four years with the Celtics, and Magic's first four years with the Lakers.
Geez... what a great era that was for NBA basketball-- Bird, Dr. J, and the Showtime Lakers !!
The Celtics-76ers rivalry was YUGE in those days.

I watched all of those historic playoff games with Bird, Dr. J, and/or the Showtime Lakers. Geez, I can still name all of the starters on those teams.
Most of those games came down to the last shot by Bird, Dr. J, or Magic. Cliffhangers.
My claim to NBA fame is that I once rode in an elevator in the early 80s with Robert Parrish, the "Chief," at the Brigham & Women's Hospital when I was a medical student.
(His wife had a baby delivered there.) His head was practically touching the ceiling in the elevator.
