He buys frozen burgers laced with MSG and pink slime... That's what I was wondering about..... I buy Angus chuck roasts or a whole chuck roll (a large butcher's cut) and grind up everything except the tendons, which I cut out. Virtually no waste. 10 Lbs of Angus chuck gets me 9 3/4 lbs burger meat.... and no funny stuff. Plus, since I carefully scald my grinder parts clean after every usage, it's safe for me to eat my burgers medium-rare, like I like them.
