It has been suggested that a few of the absolutely ridiculous lines for next week should be included just for the fun of it. For instance, Clemson is a 42 point fav over NCCharlotte.
Anyone want a few such games included now and then?
I have an opinion about it, but I'll remain neutral for now.

Anyone want a few such games included now and then? I have an opinion about it, but I'll remain neutral for now. I would have liked to see Alabama at South Carolina +25 1/2 on the list last week. USCe scored late to keep bama from covering the spread. I would have had this game on the list before Oklahoma at UCLA which turned out to be the blowout I suspected, could have had a 16th game. I have no interest in mismatches like Clemson against North Carolina Charlotte. That's just picking on how big the woodshed whipping is going to be. As a rule of thumb, I'd avoid spreads of 30 and higher. For me, the answer is no to picking on 30+ point spreads.

The spreads were about the same and the outcomes, if you leave off the late garbage time score were nearly identical. I went with the smaller spread. Both were blowouts.

The SEC game was the lesser blowout. The difference between OU at UCLA and bama at USCe and Clemson vs. NC Charlotte is the lesser point spreads and the games are matchups between P5 programs. If you leave out the higher point spreads in these types of games, you may be leaving the best teams off the list for most of the season. When Florida plays Towson State week after next, please don't put the game on the list.

I feel the need to work the top 5 into the picks if I can, so sometimes we need to hold our noses and pick a lopsided game. Clemson, OU and Bama may be a double-digit favs in every game this season. But I don't want to go out of my way to pick those games if I can help it.

I don’t have an issue if/when some games in that category have a big spread. but I would also suggest not going out if your way to include big speed games. most importantly, thanks again for doing this. ultimately i’m ok with whatever games you choose.

Your game, your rules. I don't like the cupcake picks unless it is conference foes or rivals. Such as Penn State v Pitt last Saturday, but it wasn't on the list. Now, a good game choice for next Saturday would be App State v UNC.

My opinion is no. But my lists would differ from yours anyway. Pick whatcha want...but I don’t see anyone following that game, except a Clemson fan. I watch games I’m interested in, and it is a bonus if they’re on the list.

I vote no as well. I still might toss in a game here or there are quirky, whether it be who's playing or why.
But they will be rare.

I vote no. One thing about playing this game is that it gives me a reason to watch more games, or at least follow their score. Games between power 5 teams and cupcakes would only be of interest if there were a chance for an upset, like with a highly regarded FCS team. (Thinking of App St v. McChicken from a few years ago.)
