doesn’t anyone raise political issues anymore without either immediately insulting and/or denigrating ‘the other side’, or taunting each other after the first exchange?
even w/the handful of people, with multiple viewpoints, who try to stay on point, or attempt a much less hateful kind of humor, the absolute deluge in the opposite direction makes the politics board, to me at least, completely unreadable and a waste of time.
haven’t been on much lately due to travel/work, but over the past couple days I’ve tried to catch up on on the threads and I just can’t stand it anymore. one uneducated and apparently thin-skinned person’s opinion.

I participate less lately for the same reasons as you. We used to have heated discussions and sometimes made each other think differently than we had before. Doesn't happen anymore. as discussed per phone...................yep. came back to the politics board to voice opinion on some things, ask questions of some things........got toxic responses |

It's not just here, unfortunately. All you have to do is take a look out there at real life and see a lot of antagonism about every little thing. It's gotten to the point where you can't even discuss the weather. Some fool will want to bring up "climate change."
I mostly just walk around now smiling and saying harmless shit like "How ya doing?", "Hope you have a great day", and other innocent things.
Yep, I'm guilty of being a dick here at times (a lot?  ), but like they said in the Old West, "Some folks just NEED killing." |

Frankly, I just got sick and tired of Willie feeling he needed to attack everything I said. So I just backed off from the board. I pop on once in while and
recently I'm glad I did.
Work keeps me busy enough now.
