big 12, pac 12 and conference usa have followed suit, cancelling their tourneys. the mac and the wac had already called their off. the big east is still playing... quarterfinal between st. john's and creighton going on as I type...

95%.of the ncaa's budget comes from the men's tournament. already going to lose a huge portion w/no fans attending, but no games would be an even bigger revenue loss from media advertising/sponsorship. I wonder if they feel banning fans will be enough... trying to picture a final four happening in an empty mercedes benz stadium in atlanta.... bizarre.

Remember, overnight they moved the SEC tourney quarter-final, semi-final, and final game to Georgia Tech after the 2008 tornado hit the Georgia Dome.

Or a small U/college in Atlanta, maybe even a HBCU, which could use the rental revenue. GT though would certainly have the necessary technology hookups that I'm not sure the rest have.
