I don't live in a flood plain. I don't think Led Zeppelin did either. We are all smarter than that.
People who build houses in flood plains are just as stupid as the ones who live in fire-prone areas. New Orleans is proof of that. Half of that hellhole is at or BELOW sea level.
People want to feel sorry for the "poor negroes" who suffered during Hurricane Katrina. THEY were the idiots who were living in a temporarily empty swimming pool, not me.
Nice try, but FAIL. I don't support ANY idiots, which is why I am NOT a Demoncrat.
Come on...You asked for donations here to help your own family after they were flooded out a few years ago. And "Demoncrats" came to your aid. Gee, I wonder who they sent it to, since I have no knowledge of such a thing, nor did my aunt receive outside financial assistance from ANYONE. She relied on FEMA and her own home insurance.
I am not going to call you a liar, but I know for a fact that my brother, who handled her financial affairs during that time, would have told me if such a thing had occurred. No such thing occurred.
What did you say my aunt's name is again?

IIRC, it was associated with your daughter and you posted a GoFund link. That notwithstanding, your aunt used insurance and FEMA? So what's the difference between her and some aunt whose house burned down in CA? Nothing. Like I said...there is risk everywhere.

If I did, I don't recall, and if she received anything from anyone here, past or present, then I offer sincere thanks to whoever donated. My memory is not perfect and I can happily admit it.
The difference between the flood in 2016 and CA fires is that THE flood was an extremely rare occurrence, while wildfires are not. Now that people know more areas of Louisiana than we originally thought can be flooded, new construction is now required to be built above the revised known flood plane.
Who knows? At some point THAT elevation may be too low, but if that occurs, start looking for a big boat loaded with pairs of animals.

...and the ground acceleration of the Northridge earthquake was almost double what was thought possible, and codes were altered as a result. Point is risk here and risk there are not dissimilar. We change our ways to address what we know.

So you and the rest of the loony lieberals are going to stop attacking President Trump since there was so much vital info about COVID-19 that he didn't know and had no way of knowing, thanks to coverups and lies by China and W.H.O.?

Then, when it suited him politically, he changed his lies to fit a new agenda and all at once China is the boogeyman. Bottom line, no matter which lie from Trump you want to believe, he Fd-up.

Yeah that's it. Trump is a liar. He messed up facing something no President has ever faced before.
And YOU get to live under his Presidency until 2025. Keep your blind hatred going.

Presidents routinely face "something no President has ever faced". I'd be surprised if there was even one who hasn't. How they react to it is what matters. Trump booted the grounder, picked it up and threw it into the stands.

POTUS for a day because Zachary Taylor refused to be sworn in on a Sunday. Slept through the day on Sunday March 4th. Just haven fun.

You can't stand the fact that the way President Trump has handled this thing will get him re-elected. NOTHING he could have done would make you Trump haters happy.
I sure hope to Hell Senile Uncle Joe gets to debate Donald face to face, live, in real time.
Hate on!!!
