Naa. I wouldn't decorate my hammer either. That just makes you look like a "gun zealot" as Walter likes to say you damn "Redhat". Come to think of it.... Walter wears a red hat 24/7. He was born wearing it!

Glocks don't have hammers. Hammers aren't necessary on modern semiautomatic handguns. Decorating the hammer on a revolver would look silly, too.
The Glock slide cover is a tribute to my fellow police officers. It has nothing to do with my opinion of guns themselves. It's the fools who put "Molon Labe" and skull shit on their guns that you have to worry about.
There are also military tribute slide covers available, which I think would be appropriate for a veteran.

I had to replace the slide cover on my G20SF - one of the holes had to be bigger as I recall. Might've had something to do with the Ghost trigger connector or some other upgrade I did, I can't remember, but I put a black slide cover back on it. Everything else looks really stupid to me. I do understand you wanting to show solidarity with your LE brothers and sisters and think that's perfectly ok by me. |

Any mod you do to a carry/home defense gun make it ripe for some liability lawyer to use against you (think TRN). That includes things like lowering the trigger pull, changing springs in the trigger/safety group, etc. all of which have been done to mine to make it a much sweeter shooting fun gun.

BTW, I'm using a Ghost 3.5lb. Ultimate, the one without the over-travel tab. added more to my post... Some Ghost connectors come WITH an over-travel tab but it requires minor fitting and I didn't want to do that and don't care about over-travel anyway. Search Ghost connector on Brownell's and you'll see the tab I'm talking about.

Yeah, I looked it up on Youtube, and at least one person had his gun fire 3 round bursts with one of those things. It's not worth the risk for me.
I guess that is "acceptable" on a range, but not in a gun used primarily for defense. I want my gun to go bang every time I pull the trigger, but only ONCE at a time.
