I like useing drop biscuits like my Grandma use to . Just put a little more sugar in them to make them sweeter. After My Grandma use to use wild strawberrys though waaaaaay sweeter and better flavor End result. Use canned whipped cream(just dont have the paitence to make it like my wife) Next weekend strawberry daquris ;D

Cannot find them here at all at any price.

Cannot find them here at all at any price.My Granpa used to have 100 acres in upstate NY. About 3 acres of wild strawberrys. My brothers an I would go pick them for my Gradma all the time. Untill my Grandpa realised that for evrey pint we brought back we were eating 2 lol.Then we didnt get to go by ourselves much . Cant imagine why? The same is true for wild rasberrys too . If you ever tasted them the ones you get in the stores seem sour. My grandpa had them too. Plus apple trees , blackberry patches and a huge garden .

I grew up eating that stuff every spring.... this has to be one of the world's most loved and most under-rated desserts! Perfect just the way you made it.

My Granpa used to have 100 acres in upstate NY. About 3 acres of wild strawberrys. My brothers an I would go pick them for my Gradma all the time. Untill my Grandpa realised that for evrey pint we brought back we were eating 2 lol.Then we didnt get to go by ourselves much . Cant imagine why? The same is true for wild rasberrys too . Here's my favorite berry recipe. I put these refrigerated red berries in a bowl and devour them. It doesn't get any better than that, IMO-- unless I have a bottle of cold champagne handy, preferably Korbel Natural chilled to 32 degrees F...
