FTR, you'll be happy to know I just bought a Sig-Sauer red dot sight for the Mini-14 I no longer own.

It's the Romeo MSR.  I'm not spending a fortune on something I may never use in a serious manner.

I also found a local supplier of Winchester M186 5.56 at a halfway decent price.  Only slightly more than double the old normal price.  I can buy 200 rounds for $164.10 out the door.
The only problem is, I can only buy one 20 round box per day.  Fortunately it's an 8 mile round trip to the store.

Uncles Sam's $600 gift to me is coming in handy.  I can't wait for the next batch of "free money!"

Yikes! Last time I bought top of the line M193 and M855 it was about 25 cents a round. M196 is a tracer round. Not sure what M186 is...

If someone shows up at the front door w cash, he can have mine. Or, one of them anyway. And I'll keep all but one mag. What are rolls of 90% silver coins worth today? Sell?  I lived through Bucky Hunt. It'll be back down. Used trucks are all +$5K. Meanwhile, I just found an old German 50 note, in a box of my grandfather's stuff. Folded up in a bible. Minimal worth, if any, as it is in rough shape.

Right now I have 9 magazines for my Glock 30S.  They have capacities of 9 (1), 10 (4), 13 (3) , and one 23 rounder.  Never used the 23 rounder, and probably never will.  It was a gift, and I don't plan on doing any drive-bys.

I have no need for a full auto pistol.

Today's ammo prices make full auto weapons useless.

I own only one Glock.   One Glock in .45 ACP is all I need for a self-defense handgun.   If the Glock broke ------- a long shot -------- I'd use one of my other .45 ACP's until it was fixed.

Don't bother.   You'll find out the G36 isn't really that much smaller than the G21, and it holds only 6+1.  You can't use G21 mags in the 36, either, like you can with the G30 group.

If I had done my homework a bit better, and done more in person comparing, I probably would have bought the G21 instead of the 30SF.
They are about equally concealable when the 30 is using a 21 mag, which is now my standard practice.

I just got caught up in the "it's the newest" fever, and HAD to have the 30SF.  I walked into Baton Rouge Police Supply with buying ONLY the 30S(F) on my mind, and that's what I walked out with.

Of course there is nothing wrong with simply wanting another gun, either.
