Wife and I both got our first Moderna shots today, and the appointment for a 2nd shot a month farther up the road. Zero symptoms from aftereffects. Did NOT get them from Kaiser; my wife found a method to get ours from the Hayward Fire Department. Kaiser has disappointed me severely in this problem.

Good for you and your wife. My age group in Alabama comes eligible on Feb. 8. I'm trying to get an appointment at several different locations in the area.

Wife just got her first dose of Moderna. She was on a waiting list and 6 doses came up unexpectedly that school nurses are administering at the county fairgrounds to teachers only. My wife is not a teacher. School office manager. Second hardest working employee in the school, right after the principal.
ETA update: The shots being administered by school nurses are actually for 75 and older people, not school teachers. Teachers are still SOOL. The only reason my wife got one is because she's in with the school nurses (she has to play that roll often when the nurse is out) and she is high risk with an autoimmune disease. Once the open the vial they have to use the whole thing or throw it away and they ran out of 75 year olds. So six people got in who weren't 75.
