The McCloskeys should have never been charged to begin with.   The post about the McCloskeys admitting their guilt is a LIE.  Their "guilty pleas" were simply an expediant way to get the misdemeanor charges behind them.   The Governor simply made good on his pre-trial promise, so the McCloskeys knew they didn't have to waste any money defending themselves.
So here is the kicker and the FACT:  They are innocent, but they couldn't have their names cleared until they pled Guilty.    They knew the guilty plea was bogus, so they went along with it to expedite matters.

The Governor pardoned 10 other people, too.

A crowd of screaming protestors in a private neighborhood and standing on private property screaming and yelling and carrying signs with violent slogans on them would be enough for me to arm myself and demand they get off my property. Would you have invited them in for tea?

What was bogus...REALLY bogus, was the incarceration of an innocent man for 43 years. What was bogus was everyone involved in the case pleading for his release and the Gov refusing. THAT is bogus.

I already explained that to you.  They already knew they would be pardoned from a phony political prosecution, so the expedient thing was to plead guilty so they COULD be pardoned.   Both of their "offenses" were misdemeanors, so getting their records expunged should be pretty easy.

All the "evidence" that would exonerate Strickland is totally unreliable, and the eyewitness did NOT officially recant her testimony.  She asked a question in an email about recanting, but NEVER mentioned Strickland, nor did she ever sign any official document or making any official statement under oath recanting her previous testimony.  She is now dead.
