There's also the story that I've told on here about the woman who pulled out and fired her gun at someone trying to steal a toolbox from Home Depot. She thankfully didn't hit anyone with her shot, and Home Depot was rightfully pissed.

The problem with owning a firearm is that a very healthy percentage of that group doesn't bother to learn and doesn't give a shit about safe usage, which puts everyone at risk and makes responsible gun owners look bad.

I don't know about other states, I'll have to look it up, but here you cannot be in any establishment in which the main purpose is the consumption of alcohol. You can be in restaurants that have bars and the like but you can't go into The Wagon Wheel, The Trophy Room or The Eight Ball.

Couple of examples. It is incumbent upon the CCW holder to know all the laws of the state you are carrying in BEFORE you enter that state. All the states are a little different. With my 3 permits I'm good in 36 states but I would be a fool to not know the laws of the state I'm carrying in. I never go in bars carrying anyway as a general rule so I never need to worry about that particular aspect of concealed carry. In fact, I can't even remember the last time I was in a bar besides the Tiki Bar and I didn't have a CA permit at that time.

No bar in Louisiana allows firearms on the premises by civilians.  Active police officers and retirees like me CAN.  But if I were to become intoxicated, that would nullify my immunity.

Therefore 1)  the bartender does not know the person is carrying, or 2) he finds out the person is carrying, cuts him off, and calls the police.

The legal limit for DWI is so low that many people show no signs of being intoxicated AT ALL.

The legal limit in CA is BAC of 0.08% or higher .How many drinks would it take for you to reach that level?  I have forgotten what I learned in DWI training, but I think TWO mixed drinks would put you over the legal limit, depending on your size and weight.   You have the time to look it up and see if I am correct or not.   Fat people can get drunk faster than lean people because fatty tissue does not absorb alcohol, so the alcohol mixes only with the water in the body.

Either way, your answer is NO.
